Several years ago I visited Cuba to delve into the unique spirit of this country, and its people, and was rewarded with countless treasures born from poverty, hope, dreams and aspirations. I encountered a resilient people with a mind made of steel, and instincts like animals. A frightening, intense and wonderful experience.
From the nearly 500 analog photographs a book was designed to visually celebrate the depth and diversity of this experience and to honour the people who enriched it.
The world famous photographer Robert Häusser, with whom I am grateful to say have been friends with, wrote a preface for this book in the last year before his passing.
