Well over 100 of my sketch books have been filled with the faces of people from all over the world. But there is one place which to me has become the gold mine of aesthetic ugliness, and that is the wonderfully dirty city of Mannheim. Not only is the area home to some of our modern society┬┤s greatest inventions, such as the car, the bicycle or spaghetti ice cream, it is also home to some of the most endearingly strange characters I have ever seen.
